Drown Within Records brings you this flailing split by by Germany’s grind/post-hc Ill Neglect and Cesena, central Italy-based dark hardcore bruisers Lambs. While Ill Neglect isn’t from italy, their grinding and discordant dark hardcore assault is definitely worth checking out. The label describes them as “a violent and barely restrained serving of grind – Imagine Weekend Nachos with bounce riffs,” and we couldn’t agree more. Lambs, on the other hand, do not let the intensity concede, and deliver on the flip side a battering onslaught of snarling darkened mathcore mangled with bloody knuckle-dragging Nails-worship. An authentic clobbering of metallic hardcore hatred that never recedes. (Cvlt Nation - USA)
"This ripper of a split 7″ opens up with Ill Neglect’s “Cold Turkey”, a violent and barely restrained serving of grind that warms up the crowd for their next track, “Permanent Euphoria”. It’s difficult to adequately describe the ignorant swagger the band presents on “Permanent Euphoria”, but allow me to try: Imagine Weekend Nachos with bounce riffs. It’s fucking awesome. Hitting the flip side of this wax is Lambs, a band as intense as they are hard to pin down. “You, The Drawback”, their first track on the Trisma, is a snarling number that is equal parts mathcore and Nails. Closer “Unfeeling” rockets forth, an inferno of metallic hardcore hatred and pneumatic drill guitar riffs before bursting forth a hard-edged atmosphere that would be a welcome listen for Deftones fans." (Toilet ov Hell - Germany)
"You gotta love fucked up punk rock splits. ILL NEGLECT and LAMBS reflect something we have all come to love.
There is something twisted about their latest joint offering, 'Trisma' that is hard to ignore and which inspires you to dig ever deeper.
These bands hit that killer cross section of sludge, crust punk, black metal and grindcore that makes you squirm with joy.
It's easy to get lost in what the band has done and you find yourself pulling apart sonic highways that represent a sort of demented reality that few of us could ever ignore." (Twoguysmetalreviews.com - USA)
"Sludgy, monolithic riffs coupled with pounding drums on Cold Turkey start off the Ill Neglect side of split. The band wastes no time before they unleash blast beat aided sharp grinding riffs. Alternating between rapid bursts of abrasive grindcore riffs and compelling sludge grooves, this track offers quick tempo shifts which gives their sludge / grind sound a very chaotic flavour. There is a stronger hardcore tinge in the infectious groove of follow up Permanent Euphoria. Ill Neglect inject little spurts of grind before slowing things down and locking into a skull crushingly heavy groove, which eventually ends with words from Terrence Mckenna. Compared to the alternating sludge / grind style of the first half, Lambs ‡ have a slightly more technical riff work that delivers some sharp cuts. The staccato riffs that open You, the Drawback are a good example of this. Lambs ‡ also have a more atmospheric, post-hardcore tinge to their sound. The band tends to progressively increase the level of chaos in the riffs eventually culminating in an atmosphere rich climax. Unfeeling gets a more blackened start before the mind bending chaos in the riff work makes an appearance once again. Even when the band slows things down, the dissonant guitar work tends to create a sort of cerebral chaos in the listener’s mind." (Trascending Obscurity - India)

A truly stellar death/doom album with heavy doses of black metal. Tracks like Isolation, Child of Light, and Broken Hymns deliver the sorrowful and icy tone of this album, elevated by the stirring cello compositions of Raphael Weinroth-Browne. The album delivers a deeply satisfying crescendo in Becoming Intangible before stirring the soul once again with Epilogue. Matt Richardson

Superb!
Crunchy and sweet like those sugar wafer "cookies" I devoured as a kid. But instead of tooth decay and stomach unease, this album perfectly speaks to my soul decay and general unease with this world in the sweetest of ways. Obstacle of Affliction
